Welcome, You Have Arrived
Hello beautiful soul!
Welcome.
Whether you arrived here by referral, perusal, or pure happenstance, I am happy that you have arrived and I hope that you stay awhile!
I am Jes – vigilante therapist, healing guide, collector of stories, accumulator of tools, holder of space, conscious creator, and mindful participant and lover of life.
I started my journey in the mental health field in 2012 working as a therapist, providing individual therapy and facilitating group skills training classes. In 2018, I attended a women’s retreat that I describe as my “Midlife Enlightenment”, where I received a brutal, yet necessary, unraveling and loving repackaging of all my outdated and embedded narratives about myself and my work. I finally understood what it meant to step out of an identity that was built around external expectations, and live a life that felt like Home to me. I unlearned a lot of things, and learned even more. I gained immense personal and professional clarity, and realized that looking at the mental health aspect alone is not a whole picture of wellness, and it left a lot out of the healing process.
Borrowing from Aristotle's understanding that “The whole is greater than the sum of it’s parts”, I use this ideology as I continuously journey forward to build my expertise and expand my community in an effort to not only offer healing guidance around each of our individual parts, but integrating it to encompass the whole person. I have collected a variety of tools, modalities, and resources to launch my own practice that focuses on moving toward wellness, rather than moving away from illness/“symptom reduction”, as wellness is more than the absence of illness.
I work in a heavy foundation of practicing courageously existing in raw authenticity, and practicing radical self-care. My goal for every person I work with is not just to cultivate a life that you don’t want to escape from, but one that you feel enthusiastic about participating in fully. One where you know yourself, understand yourself, love yourself, and exist as your favorite version of yourself... Note that I did not say the "best" version, because no one can be their best every day, but the "favorite" version- because that is the version that allows for rest, compassion, fallibility, the courage to make mistakes, and the grace to be in hardship and not feel like they have to be their "best" all the time.
You are worthy of healing and growing all of the parts of yourself. You are worthy of coming home to yourself. You are worthy of love and belonging. You are capable of existing in your most authentic light. You deserve to build a life that you are in love with.
I am here to support and guide you while you step into your light and cultivate your truest, most beautiful life – a life of wellness and harmony, a life that you want to participate fully in, and a life that you don’t feel the need to escape from.
If you are ready to start your journey, I look forward to walking alongside you on your way to coming home to yourself. <3
